If at first you don't succeed...

...get obsessive complusive about it. Got a new clip today and it took awhile, as evidenced in this photo by the mass of tire marks left on the pavement from spinning in the same spot over and over and over...

When you finally pull a trick and get it filmed exactly the way you want it though, I don't think there's anything more satisifying in this world.

One use for the snow...

MKE grips and bar ends

Set up some new bars today with the recently released MKE grips and a pair of MKE beer stein bar ends that I had stashed away. Solid.

Tom/Tony/Chris Delia in a London Warehouse

Goofing off and having some fun.

Winter sucks...

...because it's so much harder to ride, but it can be strangely beautiful as well...

Mostly though it just sucks.

The Sorely Trying Days

One of my favorite bits from BSv.3 is the intro to the Philly section that features a band called The Sorely Trying Days playing their seminal anthem "Everybody's Bitch." I filmed that clip from behind the stage, and I recently happened across this vid that someone else shot from the crowd. You can see me off to the right sporting a lime green stocking cap. Fun show.

Numbers hits the track

I am a massive fan of the band Numbers, so I can't even tell you how stoked I was when they graciously agreed to let us use one of their songs for the Bootleg Sessions v.2 trailer. As it turns out, Dave, the guitarist for Numbers, is living in Tokyo right now and has gotten big into track racing. He recently sent me some photos of his unbelievably gorgeous Panasonic...

Dave is living the dream!

New Profile Fixed website!

Christian @ Profile Fixed has completely redone the website. Looks fantastic! Big things are in the works for Profile's fixed gear program this year... make sure you keep tabs on their site to see what's going down and when.

Awhile ago I took a photo of a display of cranks and chainrings inside Open Bicycle in Cambridge, MA. Recently I was contacted by someone from who requested the use of this photo for their Boston neighborhood guide. Obviously I agreed... why would I pass up the opportunity to pretend that I have a clue what I'm doing when I take still shots?

Check the photo in the upper right-hand corner of this page, and be sure to make your way to Open if you're ever in the area, it's a fantastic shop.

Tom and Tony in London

Tom and Tony are over in London this week for the Shop 14 one year anniversary event. Make sure you keep tabs on what they're getting into via Tom's Charge blog.

Tony's looking rather jet-lagged in most of the pics. Or maybe he just always looks like that.

Allender gets Ripped

This is the second P.K. Ripper that was snapped recently by a BSv.4 rider. The first belonged to Tanner Monmaney and its demise was captured dramatically (and hilariously) on film by the Aloha Fixed crew. This one was done in by our man Allender during a quarter to bank transfer. Both frames broke in the same place...

Adversity breeds better parts... or so we hope!

Villains & Co. sale

Villains & Co. is running a sale through Friday... don't sleep! Details here.

Prizzy Prizzy Please

The guys at Joyful Noise Recordings have been a huge help to us throughout the process of putting together the Bootleg Sessions videos, so much so in fact that I'm not sure we could have done any of this without them. They basically opened up their entire catalog to us and let us use any of the songs that they manage the rights to free of charge. That's a huge deal as licensing music can be a tremendous expense if you're doing everything on the up and up.

Our collaborative relationship has progressed now to the point where I've recently started working directly for the label. The first release that I'm helping out with is a full length record by the band Prizzy Prizzy Please, the same group that so graciously allowed us to use their song "Ride the Love Bullet" in the Bootleg Sessions v.3 trailer...

These guys effing rip, and they are without question one of the most unique punk bands out there right now. I always say that if someone ever decides to do a bitchin' remake of the cult classic Barbarella (Spike Jonze anyone?), PPP should be signed up to do the soundtrack. That's the only way I can describe them. The album is called Chroma Cannon, and JNR has just released two of the songs off the record in mp3 format as a taste of what's to come...

Large Hadron Collider

And here's the original trailer for Barbarella in case you don't know what the hell I'm talking about...

FiXie PiXie interviews with Tom LaMarche, John Prolly, and Eric Puckett

Empire's Final Teaser

A shortened version of the Empire entry in last year's Bicycle Film Festival. This is going to be so damn good...!

This vid came out awhile ago but I missed it somehow, so I'm going to re-post it... Funny from Osaka killing it on a Milwaukee Bruiser.
