Got a great package yesterday with some of the Profile parts I'll be using to build up my Milwaukee MKE Prototype. Thanks Christian!

The Show Up Classic

Bloomington, Indiana is going to get pretty serious this spring. The Show Up crew is running a series of races + other events that should be a blast. I gotta make it down there for at least one of these...!

Hell Yes Sprints

Dennis from the Fixed Gear Gallery has started what apparently may turn out to be a traveling series called Hell Yes Sprints. Looks like it has a pretty high-tech setup... perhaps he should bring it down to the NAHBS...?

Prolly's Milwaukee Prototype built up

Prolly is the first of us to get his new Milwaukee up and running. Looks super clean. Gonna be a couple of weeks before mine is hooked up, and I'll definitely be chomping at the bit!

More here and here.

Sketch Bike

While most times posing fashionably with a bike looks corny, I thought this series of photos from Folk's spring/summer collection was actually pretty interesting...

Most people wouldn't know this, but the bike used in the photos was originally developed for the video for the song "Take On Me," popularized by the band A-Ha in the mid '80s...

The bike was never used in the video, however, as it was determined that riding a motorcycle with a sidecar would ultimately make the lead singer's hair poof out more. Also, one would also have to assume that it's somewhat cooler to have your ass kicked by a motorcycle gang rather than a pack of roadies decked out in spandex.

How the guys at Folk managed to get their hands on this rare prototype sketch bike I'll never know...
