Just like riding a bike

I still remember very clearly the first moment when I learned how to ride a bike. The sensation of achieving the perfect balance was so powerful back then, and it still has me hooked today. My kid experienced that for the first time yesterday. He turned four years old recently, so I figured it was time to take off the trainers. I stuck a bunch of pads all over him like the typical overprotective parent, assuming he was going to eat pavement a few times. This is what he did...

I guess I should have let him have a go at it a little sooner.

This is so great. Just in time for you to start training the new one!

Yeah, I'm pretty much done parenting this one, there's nothing left for me to teach him. He's on his own now... ;)

Yep - all that's left is track standing.
